On May 21st, 2024 Greystone Financial Group LLC was left heartbroken to hear our co-founder John Mullins had passed away after a long battle with cancer.
John played an integral role at Greystone and it has taken the team some time to come to terms with such a devastating loss to our family.
Known as Jack to his loved ones, John was a dedicated family man, a respected veteran, and a visionary entrepreneur. He is survived by his daughters Lisa and Nicole and preceded in passing by his dear wife Debbie.
John served in the Vietnam War, where he demonstrated incredible bravery and resilience. His experiences there shaped his character. He further served his country in fellowship with the Detroit Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America, where he organized efforts to establish scholarship programs for descendants of Vietnam veterans and graduates from Detroit Public Schools.
After the war, John attended Walsh College to obtain his CPA license and discovered his passion for business and entrepreneurship. This laid the foundation for his distinguished career in the financial industry.
With Todd Moss, he co-founded Greystone Financial Group LLC in 1995. While John retired in 2015, his guiding principles remain the cornerstone of our firm. John’s spirit lives on in the culture and values we uphold at Greystone. We cherish the memory of a remarkable man who touched countless lives.
